A London based chef and writer, Helen is on a mission to give vegetables main character energy. 

Helen is the former executive chef of Bubala, taking the business from a pop-up back in 2018 to two critically acclaimed restaurants by the time she left in 2023. As the creator behind many of the restaurant's best loved dishes, Helen’s fresh approach to vegetables secured Bubala a reputation as one of (if not the best) vegetarian restaurants in London.

During her time there, Helen made her debut TV appearance on Sunday Brunch and headlined a number of festival banquets including Wilderness & Lost Village. Helen’s recipe writing has appeared in numerous publications including Vogue & the Guardian. 

After leaving Bubala in 2023, Helen has gone on to appear on Saturday Kitchen; cook at some of London’s most prestigious venues, including Carousel, as well as a month-long, record breaking stint at Oranj; and publish a number of recipes online and in print including the Financial Times. 

Helen has over 10 years of experience in restaurant kitchens and besides Bubala, has worked at the capital’s best Middle Eastern restaurants including Ottolenghi (where she was also in the test kitchen) as well as being on the launch teams for The Barbary & The Palomar. Needless to say, she knows her sumac.
